For what rainwear is supposed to do...The "DUTCHtech" fabric gives me the widest range of application of any that I know of.  It's lightweight, windproof, waterproof and very quiet.  It doesn't have that coated "rustleing" sound.  It rolls up very tight and travels well.

The Winslow style works well in all those places where you would normally think of "lightweight gear"... hiking, day sailing, sporting events, bird watching or just walking about.
