Technically...since the UNIMAC fabric has a textured surfaced...it actually has less surface tension and therefore has a tendancy to hold less moisture.  That bit of info and 80 cents will get you a cup of coffee in many places (not all).  You won't really be able to see it with the naked eye, but you would if you were in a lab.

Since the Sol Duc is just a shell, it allows you to layer up and layer down depending on you activity level and what part of the world you find yourself.

An important thing to remember about "WPB's" is do not send them to the drycleaners.  It is waterproof-breathable by virtue of the yarns used, thread count, fabric construction and an internal coating.  Dry cleaning solutions have an adverse effect on the applied coatings.
